Memorial Day

It was a wonderful unofficial start to Summer. We spent the day with Matt, Deborah, Laura, and Karl and hosts Mike and Lamiae. It was a beautiful day of relaxing on the deck and eating lots of tasty food. Thanks Lamiae for all the yummy leftovers.

The kids got to check out Mike's herd of cattle, the "lawn mooers," enjoyed a 6 wheeler ride and had lots of fun in the sun.

6 Month Update

6 months old! It has been another fabulous month. Justin is sitting up like such a big boy. It is very cute to watch him play with teething toys and crumple up paper. Another huge milestone is that he is sleeping through the night! It started out as 8:30p.m to around 4a.m. and now for the past 1 1/2 weeks he has been sleeping til 6-7a.m.! Yea! He is really loving all the new foods and eagerly gobbles up any and everything we give him. Unfortunately, he did develop another ear infection this month. That daycare of his is really building up his immune system! Daycare is going so great and everyone is so in love with our boys.

Fun in the Sun

Justin tested out our swing set today and found it to be most relaxing. What a sweetie. Meanwhile, Colin enjoyed the warm weather by repeatedly running through the water sprinkler. Yea for warm weather outside fun!

Water Park of America

We had another fun-filled day with Matt, Deborah, Laura and Karl. We went to the indoor water park near the Mall of America. Colin was a little hesitant at first go on all the kid slides and water items because the first trip in the big play area with Jason they got doused from the huge water bucket that tips every 4 minutes. He is not a big fan of getting drench by surprise (but then again who of us really are).
The next 30 minutes was spent from the edge of the pool watching the bucket soak everyone else. Then Colin got back into the action when we all went down the big "family-slide" where 6 of us got on a giant tube and went down an over sized water slide. The kids just loved that one because we could all sit together. Justin just chilled and soaked in the chaos and spent quality time with Uncle Matt while the crew went down the big slide repeatedly.
Colin spent the rest of the time going down the lazy river, swimming in the pool, and continually going down the canoe slide with Karl (which was safely situated away for the splash zone of the bucket ☺). We all had such a fabulous time and by the end we all felt like Justin looks below.

Sitting

Justin has reached another milestone--Sitting! He is still a bit wibble wobbly but can definitely sit unassisted for several minutes at a time. Someone needs to tell him to stop growing so fast! :)

It was a fabulous Mother's Day! Family came over to our house today to celebrate the holiday. The weather was a bit chilly but that didn't stop the cousins from having fun outside. I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband and two adorable little boys.

Fun filled weekend

A,A,A & J were reunited as my three best friends (Andrea, Amy, and Jamie)and I got together in Madison for the weekend with our spouses and kids. We had such a great time with fabulous weather, yummy food, and a chance to reconnect in person. Colin and Justin had so much fun with Anne and Thomas. We went to the zoo, played with Tofte (Jamie's chocolate lab) and had a lot of fun outside--who knew kids would have so much fun with a garden hose when the water wasn't on. :)

We spent Friday night at a hotel so Justin got his first pool experience and Colin and Thomas had a blast jumping from the pool's edge into expectant arms. Thanks for a wonderful time ladies!



The fun continued as Sunday we went to the Target Center to see Thomas the Train in "A Circus Comes to Town." My sister was so very kind to babysit Justin so Jason and I could give Colin the full on Thomas experience. He loved the show! It was so fun to see him excited and shout the names as each of the various trains appeared throughout the show.
