Fall Sports

It was a very exciting Fall sports season! Justin continued improving his speedy skills during Fall soccer. He had a lot of fun playing with many of his friends on team Galaxy. It is so fun to watch his determination and drive throughout the season. He is quite the athelete! We had so much fun cheering and watching soccer during this lovely Fall season.

Colin was in heaven! 3rd grade is the first year boys can play tackle football in Moundsview and he LOVED it! Jason was assistant coach and was very key in teaching skills and football fundamentals. I am happy to report no concussions or broken legs this season on our team. :)The boys had an amazing season improving with each week. Playoffs finished up today with the Moundsview Spartans taking home the championship! Colin was AWESOME on so many levels-defense, blocking, kick offs, and led the team in touchdowns.

Boo Run Run

It was another fabulous Boo Run Run race! We joined the Meissners this morning for an early morning 5K and kids race at Harriet Island in St. Paul. Colin once again took a first place finish in the kids run! Justin was another speedy runner staying competitive with all the big kids and passed a runner at the finish even though he states "he didn't have much speed left." :) And for Adam this was his first official race. He ran the entire race without stopping or being carried by Jason. Unfortunately, Karl and Deborah were injured. Those teenage cross country runners seem to be having a questionable impact on Deborah and Karl. :) We decided it was best to walk our 5K and enjoy the beautiful Fall colors. Jason, on the other hand, without any running for nine months, crushed the 5K with a 7 minute pace and finished in the top 5 overall--not bad for a 40 y.o. ;)

Twin Cities Harvest Maze

We had an awesome time at the Twin Cities Harvest Maze yesterday. We joined my sister Jennifer, Brian, and Damon for a few hours of chilly Fall fun. Thankfully the wind had settled down, but we still needed warm hats and winter coats to enjoy the activities. There were so many fun things to do at this corn maze--animals, hay bale maze, jumpers, giant slide, corn pit, and lots of adorable pictures. :)
