Spring Break-AZ and the Grand Canyon

Grandpa and Grandma Elliott rented a house on the Colorado River in AZ for a month. We were able to go visit them for four days over Spring Break. We all had a great time! The weather was gorgeous and sunny! We loved the shaded deck with the amazing views of the river and foothills in the background. The boys had fun getting each other wet with water guns and hoses. We even found a nearby park that had access for swimming. The highlight of the vacation though, had to be our trip to see the Grand Canyon! It is so gorgeous! It was a full day of hiking and shuttle buses to various magnificent lookout spots. It was a fabulous trip! :)

Kite Flying

We have had the best Spring weather this past week! Yesterday the wind started to pick up so we thought it would be the perfect day to fly some kites. With a little practice we had all three up in the air. The trick was to get them super high in the air and then the wind took over allowing the boys to stand and have kite wars. It was super fun and a good use out of some $5 Target kites. :) 

Valentine Hills Carnival

It was carnival time at the kids school. This is a very exciting night for all the kids as the elementary school is transformed into rooms full of fun games with lots of candy and prizes! We packed in lots of fun in those 2 hours after school let out for the day. It is lots of loud and crazy chaotic fun! :)

Elm Creek Tubing

The yearly snow tubing tradition continues!! It has been chilly the past few weekends but we finally got out to Maple Grove. It was a bit windy but we had beautiful sun today as we hit the hills and linked up for some fast and crazy tubing! Adam was especially cute as he ran around giggling and jumping on tubes and crash landing on people. After wearing out the kids we headed out to Granite City to celebrate Deborah's birthday. Someone is turning the big 4-0 in a few days and is looking radiant and gorgeous as ever. Love ya, sis!

Science Museum

Yesterday was our first time at the St. Paul Science Museum. We started the morning with a very cool Omni theater show, "Journey into Space." Next it was time to visit some exhibits. It started getting quite busy. We didn't realize it til we got there but it was Star Wars day at the museum. It was quite hilarious because visitors were all decked out in star wars garb. The museum even had workers all dressed in Star Wars characters throughout all the levels and outside. Adam insisted on getting a picture with the "red ones." :)
