Fall Soccer

This year both Colin and Justin are playing soccer on the weekends. Colin is trying out traveling soccer playing with older 9 and 10 year olds through the North Suburban Soccer Association. The teams are very skilled with not much scoring but still a ton of excitement! Colin has greatly enjoyed the challenge and shows a lot of determination at all games and practices. Justin is also enjoying his soccer team and is once again Team Lightning with gold shirts. He is super fast and tenacious leading his team with 10 goals for the year. Yay, Soccer!

Twins vs. Blue Jays

This past Saturday we went to see the Twins take on the Toronto Blue Jays. It is so fun to watch baseball live at an outdoor field. Normally, I think baseball can be quite long and boring. This game had lots of hits and was fun to watch even though the Twins lost 8 to 1. It was a gorgeous night for MN baseball. :)

Jason's Birthday

We celebrated Jason's birthday this year by going to the home opener Gopher Football game as a family. The Gophers took on the UNLV Rebels and won with a score of 51-23. The temps were warm but it was fun to watch the game live at the TCF Stadium. Happy birthday to the best guy in the whole universe. :) We love you!

Back to School

The 2013-14 school year has started this week. Colin is in 2nd grade and Justin has moved up to the green room at his daycare which is officially the preschool school room. Justin gets to rule the roost this year at New Horizon before starting Kindergarten next Fall. Colin has a great teacher and already has friends from his Kindergarten and 1st grade class in his room this year. It is going to be an awesome school year. :)

Norway Lake

Last weekend we had an awesome time with Grandpa and Grandma Elliott on Norway Lake. Jason's folks rented a gorgeous cabin for the week near Wilmar, MN only a few hours from our house. We had so much fun playing bocce, timber toss, bags, air hockey. The weather was gorgeous, and we we spent as much time outside as we could. There was lots of fishing but even with the help of cousin Tabor the boys were not successful. In the evenings we had a campfire with the added twist of a copper log. A garden hose was placed inside a copper tube that created crazy cool colors in the campfire. We were all very impressed. The best part was just being lazy and enjoying the lake views for 3 days. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the lakes. :)
