Merry Christmas

What a wonderful time of year! We had such a fun Christmas this year. The celebration started a few weeks ago when we celebrated Christmas with Jason's family at the Holiday Inn in Detroit Lakes. Tanner and Dalton were wrestling in a weekend tournament so everyone gathered together for the weekend. Uncle John flew in for the holiday so all the Elliott boys were together. The boys got to stay up late to open presents and even Adam woke up to join in on the fun. The pool was another fun highlight of the weekend.

The Meissners hosted Christmas Eve and what a wonderful night. Great food, lots of presents, and a house full of kids and adults! It was so nice to celebrate the holiday with family. Jim's homemade Dandelion wine and Laura and Karl's piano/guitar performance completed a delightful night.

What a treat to be home and celebrate Christmas day with just our boys. Adam was the first to wake at 7:45, and Colin quickly jumped into Justin's bed to rouse his brother for Christmas presents. Santa did not disappoint, and we enjoyed a restful day at home as a family. Wishing everyone lots of love and happiness this season and new year!

Festive Fun

This morning we headed to the Bachmans store for a fun holiday skit. It was a cute and quite funny show in which Santa learns how to dance. After the show we got to take pictures with Santa--Adam was not so excited to sit on the bearded man's lap. It still makes for a cute picture.

After supper we drove to Phalen Park for some holiday lights. It was a very pretty 30 minute drive around the lake with a variety of colorful holiday lights.

Colin's B-day Weekend

It was a birthday marathon last weekend! On Saturday we celebrated Colin's birthday with a few of his friends from school with a trip to the Metrodome to see the Monster Truck Show. We had AWESOME seats again thanks to Uncle Darin and Cargill. :) We all had a blast and Colin even lost his voice he did so much yelling and cheering.

The next day we had family over to celebrate more birthdays. Karl and Justin share November birthdays while Laura, Colin, and Jennifer have birthdays in early December.

Monday, December 3rd, is Colin's actual birthday so the birthday fun continued that day. We had monkey bread for breakfast, Jason joined Colin at school for lunch, and then we opened more presents that night. The boys get so many nice gifts and even more to come with Christmas quickly approaching in just a few weeks!
