Christmas Celebration

Christmas is such a fun time of year and the boys make it that much more delightful. We had such a nice time with family and felt so blessed to be together on this special holiday. This year we hosted family on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The boys received so many wonderful gifts! It was especially cute watching Adam tear open presents and become fascinated with the krinkle sound of the paper in his hands as he watched his big brothers quickly finsh the process of pulling out the various toys. His first Christmas was huge fun.

Cookie Baking

I have the best hubby in the world! Jason gave me an early Christmas gift--the boys and I have matching hand embroidered aprons! It is the cutest thing ever! We tested them out today on our cut out cookies. It was a good thing we had those aprons on because there was frosting and colored sprinkles everywhere! I love baking Christmas cookies and baking with my boys is so much fun for me. During the month of December the boys and I will make a batch of cookies each night with about a dozen types of cookies being produced. The boys are such excellent helpers and love their cookie treats each night. The aprons are the perfect "Angie" gift--so thoughtful and cute! Now all we need are those fun chef hats to complete the ensemble :)

8 Month Update

Adam is 8 months old and the holiday season is upon us. Our sweetie has really started babbling this month with lots of "ra" and "ah" sounds. There has also been lots of drool but alas no teeth yet. He really loves playing peek a boo and thinks it very hilarious when Colin and Justin say stinky feet--P-U! :) He continues to be a great eater, sleeper, and loves that thumb of his for self soothing. He is looking forward to his first Christmas and playing with all the empty boxes and crinkle of wrapping paper.

Colin's Sky Zone Party

We had Colin's birthday party at Sky Zone this year which is an indoor trampoline place. It was awesome! There were giant trampoline areas, trampoline hoops, trampoline foam pits to flip into! It was lots of fun and quite the work out! Even Adam was worn out from watching all the jumping.

Happy 6th Birthday Colin!

Happy, Happy, Birthday, Colin! Wow, it's still amazing to me that you are in Kindergarten and already 6 years old! I remember not so long ago that big round baby face and adorable chubby cheeks! You really did have the best cheeks. :) You are such a great kid--kind, athletic, smart, creative. You continue to be an awesome big brother! You are such a big kid and we love that you still give all those hugs and look forward to your career as a future Viking football player. :)

Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving already and so much to be thankful for! Life is so good and we feel so blessed. I'm going to dub this the weekend of the three F's--Family, Feasting, and Football! We had so much fun with family, ate amazing meals all day long, and enjoyed much relaxation watching football. Colin and Justin even got to open some birthday presents. Adam greatly enjoyed his first Thanksgiving holiday sampling some pumpkin pie and burned off those holiday calories in his jump, jump, jumperoo. :) Jason and I even got an evening out and had a super fun time with those Zimney girls, Marni, Mindi, and Aarin. Thanks for a great weekend, everyone!

Justin's Birthday Celebration

Justin's birthday fell on a Monday so we decided to celebrate it on Sunday. We went to an indoor play area in Edina called Edinburough Park. It was awesome! They had 2 inflatable jumpers, lots of slides, tunnels, a gym area with basketballs and wheeled carts.
When we got home we opened presents and ate yummy Viking themed cupcakes. Our Vikings lost but your birthday was a victory. :) And next week they can watch the game in their comfy new birthday bean bag chairs.

Justin is 3!

Happy Birthday, Justin! You are such a fabulous little boy! You are so smart, cute, and silly. You make us smile all the time. You have grown into such a big kid this past year. You are so proud to be a big kid and beam with pride after getting dressed on your own, putting on your coat, throwing and catching the football. You are the cutest singer especially in the car with Skol Vikings being the song of choice. It is adorable to see you mimic your older brother and be so gentle and attentive to your little brother. We love you!

7 month update

What a fun day to be 7 months old-11/11/11! Adam is still such a honey and full of smiles. No teeth  and also no ear infections thus far. We'll see what winter has in store for us. Adam has gotten quite good at sitting upright on his own for several minutes. He also really loves to play with his toes which I think is so adorable. He is still a great eater and sleeping well at night. He thinks his brothers are so silly and loves all of their attention.

Trick or Treat

The Halloween tradition continues as the Meissners hosted another fabulous Halloween. Our boys are a bit obsessed with candy and the Rush City neighborhood did not fail in its bounty of candy.

MN Zoo / Phineas and Ferb

It was another fun October weekend for the Elliotts. It was such a nice warm Fall Saturday that we took the kids to the MN Zoo and got to see the penguin exhibit for the first time. They were very active swimming and gliding all over the rocks--super cute. On our way out we posed on the wolf statues and Justin was letting us know he needed a nap that day. :)

Sunday we were off to the Xcel Energy Center for the Phineas and Ferb show. Phineas and Ferb is one our favorite shows to watch on TV so we were all very excited when we heard they were coming to town. Now we are on to the Halloween countdown. Only 5 more days til candy!
