Last weekend we went to the Children's Museum with our friends the Bjugstads to see the Clifford exhibit. Colin had lots of fun with his friend, Wyatt, and there were lots of great photo opportunities as you can see below. :)

8 Month Update

This past month Justin has really improved his crawling and is motoring all over the place with rug burn knees to prove it. :) He is also fine-tuning his small motor skills and is mastering the ability to pick up and transfer small objects from hand to hand thanks to lots of practice at supper time with those puffs. Unfortunately, separation/stranger anxiety is also starting. Mommy loves the extra affection and cuddles, but it makes it hard on the grandparents and others who wait patiently for Justin to warm up to them.

Gone Fishing

A couple weeks ago Colin had his first big fishing excursion. Colin caught 4 all by himself from the casting, to watching the bobber, setting the hook and reeling it in. On his third catch none us were even watching him as we were watching Uncle Mike bring a fish in and then Colin says "hey look at mine" and he had already reeled in the fish and had it out of the water. While Colin was pulling in fish Justin was just relaxing in the sun enjoying some puffs.

Crawling

With the coaching of big brother Colin, Justin has started to crawl.

4th of July

What a fabulous 4th of July weekend! Friday, Jason's parents came down for the weekend. We took advantage of babysitters and celebrated my birthday feasting at a fancy Brazilian steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis. The boys had lots of fun with Grandpa and Grandma Elliott. Justin showed off his crawling skills and Colin got to show them his golf swing.



Saturday afternoon we headed to Mike and Lamiae's house to celebrate the 4th with my family. What a beautiful day! Colin had so much fun playing with his cousins. Justin is starting to get separation anxiety but was a lot of fun if Mommy and Daddy were close by. Mike took people on "tours" of his land and Justin got to experience his first 6 wheeler ride. Later in the afternoon we took a pontoon ride around the lake and Colin got to drive the boat! He was so proud! Justin loved his first boat ride taking it all in on Grandpa Lundgren's lap. That evening we made delicious smores beside the campfire as the kids ran around with sparklers. Mike put on a spectacular fireworks display. It was so cute to see the kids get all excited as we all ohh and ahhh as the fireworks went off. Happy 4th of July!

Berry-licious

My strawberry patch did not do well this year so instead we picked strawberries at Berry Hill Farms today. Colin was a great berry picker, and we had to keep reminding him not to eat the strawberries. Yummy in the tummy.
