Norway Lake

Last weekend we had an awesome time with Grandpa and Grandma Elliott on Norway Lake. Jason's folks rented a gorgeous cabin for the week near Wilmar, MN only a few hours from our house. We had so much fun playing bocce, timber toss, bags, air hockey. The weather was gorgeous, and we we spent as much time outside as we could. There was lots of fishing but even with the help of cousin Tabor the boys were not successful. In the evenings we had a campfire with the added twist of a copper log. A garden hose was placed inside a copper tube that created crazy cool colors in the campfire. We were all very impressed. The best part was just being lazy and enjoying the lake views for 3 days. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the lakes. :)

Summer Sports

We had an awesome Summer of baseball and soccer this year. Justin had his first year of soccer and his team was the Lightning. It was a very fitting name because this kid is lightning fast! He could really hustle, and was the lead scorer for his team. He really enjoyed soccer and wants to continue playing in a Fall league.








Colin played both soccer and baseball again this year. It was 4 days a week making the weekdays quite busy, but a great way to spend the warm Summer evenings. With both boys playing on Mondays there were a couple weeks Jason and I had to split up but otherwise no problems. Adam loved to watch games and for the most part sat quite contently in his stroller. Jason coached Colin's baseball team and did an awesome job. He did a great job pitching to the kids, and the team really improved over the season. It was a wide range of skill levels as the team consisted of kids just finishing kindergarten and 1st grade. It was really neat to see how much Colin has improved from last year. He has really learned a lot about the rules of baseball and made lots of great outs including a few double plays. It was no surprise he could really crush the ball, and Jason knew just how he liked his pitches--up high and fast. Wow!

Parade Time

It was Village Fest in St. Anthony this past weekend which means parade time! The boys love their candy so this is always an exciting event. It was a gorgeous evening, and we even got to hang out with our friends, Tony and Megan. Their son, Nolan, shares the exact same birthday as Justin, and the two boys have a blast together at daycare. Good times!

Cousins

We had such a fun play date with cousin Wyatt this week. Wyatt is 6 weeks older than Justin and these two are best of friends. It was a lovely sunny day so we played outside, examined their giant puddle of tadpoles, and picked yummy raspberries. Thanks for a lovely visit and all the goodies, Peggy!
