Summer Soccer

The boys had another busy fun-filled Summer of sports. Colin played soccer through NSSA on Monday and Wednesdays and Justin had soccer through Arden Hills park and recreation on Mondays. They both had awesome seasons! Colin has decided he likes defense best and makes many aggressive moves and blocks on the field. Justin is still a speedster leading his team with goals. Justin will continue with Fall soccer starting next week while Colin has started football. :)

Weekend at the Porters

Last weekend we got to spend the weekend with our fabulous friends Jeff and Minto Porter and their adorable family. Our kids are close in age so it works out perfect for crazy, loud, absolute fun! They live in a gorgeous house on Sylvan Lake near Brainard. It was an AWESOME weekend! It was perfect weather for boating. Justin and Adam got to test out tubing for the first time and Colin got up on skiis with some help from Jason. I even got up on one ski, but apparently it has been a while since I've been skiing as my back was quite sore the next few days. :) The four of us got a round of golf in the next morning, and the evening was filled with more tubing and skiing. Sunday morning was rainy which was perfect for a morning game of headbanz--lots of silliness. Love MN lakes in the Summer! Thanks Porters for a wonderful weekend!!

Interstate State Park

We had an AWESOME time camping this weekend at Interstate State Park in Taylor Falls. The weather couldn't have been more lovely. The campsite is so scenic and beautiful along the St. Croix River. The hiking was quite adventurous with tree roots, cliffs, and my boys doing spin moves like American Ninja Warriors off the rocks as we hiked along the gorgeous wooded trails. Love, love, love Camping!
