Aquatennial Parade

Last Wednesday night we headed to downtown Minneapolis for their yearly torchlight parade. It was our first Aquatennial Parade and the boys loved it--mostly 'cause they got to stay up way past their bedtime. :) We found great seats along the curb and sat and watched numerous royalty floats and marching bands. The boys even got some candy. The big hit of the night was the free hula hoops. The hip swiveling contests continue. . .

Cabin!!

Once again, Jason's parents rented the awesome cabin near Willmar, MN! We got to spend three delightful Summer days playing and relaxing at the lake! We got to fish, swim, canoe, play yard games, and roast s'mores at the campfire. It was a very awesome and restful weekend!

Minnehaha Falls

I had the most awesome birthday! The day started with a morning run with two of my dear friends. The three of us then headed to Caribou and had birthday coffee outside on their patio in the beautiful morning sunshine. I returned home to the smell of delicious blueberry muffins, flowers, and homemade birthday cards. We then packed up a picnic lunch and headed to Minneapolis for some fabulous hiking at Minnehaha Falls. It was just perfect weather and we had so much fun hiking the beautiful trails that followed along Minnehaha Creek. After lunch we rented a 5 person bike and ate ice cream. That evening Jason and I had date night at Union Rooftop. It was an amazing birthday!!!
