Easter

We had a delightful Easter this year! The boys decorated some minion theme eggs, and they turned out extra cute! Easter morning the boys woke up to find their Easter baskets. We had Easter bunny butt pancakes for breakfast then headed outside for our egg hunt. It was a bit chilly but always fun for the boys. Mom and Dad, Matt and Deborah, Jennifer and Brian came over in the afternoon to celebrate the holiday. The kids were mostly outside playing soccer, shooting hoops, and Nerf gun action on the poor birds. We also got to celebrate Matt, Deborah, Damon, and Adam's birthdays.

Spring Break--Wisconsin Dells

We had a very fun Spring break in Wisconsin Dells! The boys wanted to try a new resort so we booked 3 nights at Mt. Olympus. The indoor water park was great and we quickly learned that it is key to get there right when it opens at 10a.m for the shortest lines. They also have a fun indoor amusement park. It was like a giant warehouse filled with carnival rides. There was also bowling, laser tag, climbing wall, and bumper cars. Lines were very short and geared more for the 10 and under age group--perfect for Justin and Adam. All in all a very fun time!

  
  
  
  
  
  
  
 

Macy's Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Last weekend we had a special Easter breakfast downtown at Macy's 12th floor Oak Room Restaurant. It was a very fun morning with a super yummy breakfast buffet! They had face painting, balloon animals, and lots of pictures with the Easter Bunny!

Science Museum/Omni Theater

Our yearly tubing tradition was a no go this year. :( The warm weather ended the tubing season early so instead of tubing last weekend the Meissners and Elliotts took a visit to the Science Museum in St Paul. It was a fabulous time with lots of exploring on all the various floors. After a yummy supper at Cosettas, we hurried back for our Omni show, "Humpback Whales." We loved the show especially in the Omni setting! Winter is going fast and we are excited for Spring!

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!! We continued our red theme supper doing a brinner meal this year. Wow, a few drops of red dye sure can turn any food pinky/red!! The white french toast, white scrambled eggs, and white hashbrown potatoes were delightfully red and perfect for Valentines Day fun. :)The boys loved substituting syrup with cool whip and strawberries and raspberries. Everything was topped with a healthy layer of red sprinkles. Target sweetheart cupcakes completed our festive meal and fruitpunch Gatorade was the beverage of choice.

 
  
 

Justin- Lil' Dribblers

Justin got to try out basketball for the first time this year playing with 1st and 2nd graders on Team Hawks. Jason coached the team and the boys had a fabulous season! Rims are lowered to 8 feet and there are a lots of whistles during games to stop and teach the kids basketball rules and skills. Justin is a natural athlete and used his speed for many break away shots and tough defense. We love basketball and it was the perfect way to spend our Saturday mornings.

New Years

It was another fabulous New Years holiday with the Meissners!! We started the fun with a game of bowling at Brunswick Zone. It was a blast and I have to admit that I had high score with a personal best of 135!! We headed back to our house after bowling and had a lazy evening of football, Family Feud, and puzzles before watching the watermelon drop at midnight. Cheers to an awesome 2016!
