5 Month Update

This month Justin started rolling from his tummy to his back so now he can roll both ways.

We also started cereal which he loves. We thought this would be the trick for getting him to sleep through the night but alas our little stinker still likes to wake once a night.

We introduced the "Jumperoo" which he likes to stand in and we sometimes get an occasionally bounce. He is more entertained by the toys that sit on top of the Jumperoo.

His giggles are so cute and he especially loves watching Colin and his crazy antics. Justin thinks his brother is hilarious.

Sunday Events

Sunday we met Deborah, Matt, Laura and Karl for the "Get Your Rear in Gear" 5K and fun run for colon cancer research. It was 60's and 70's all week and then Sunday was 40's and drizzle, go figure. We had fun nonetheless. The kids all ran a half mile and did great receiving t-shirts and medals at the end. Deborah and Angie ran the 5K while the guys kept the kids warm and entertained.



And to cap the day that evening the Elliott's made their first trip to the ER. Yes Colin was playing throwing a sock in the air and tripped trying to catch it and ran into the TV stand. It was a clean cut above the eyebrow that required 8 stitches. He was quite the champ and laid perfectly still while getting his stitches. He just read books with mommy during the procedure. Hopefully this will be our first and last trip (yeah right, probably not with two Elliott boys).

Sugar High

Three days later and Colin is just starting to come off his Easter candy sugar high. :) We had a great time back in North Dakota having fun with Grandpa and Grandma Elliott, visiting the Great Grandparents, and a wonderful Easter celebration with extended family.

Cereal & Rolls

Justin has started cereal and gobbles it down just like his big brother did at his age. We put a bib on him but it serves no purpose as Justin doesn't let any go to waste.

Even though we haven't witnessed it yet, he has also started to roll from his back to his stomach. The past 3 nights we have gone into his room to find him squirming on his tummy in frustration.

Weekend Fun

Saturday morning we went with our friends Chris, Heidi, and Wyatt to the Chaska Arboretum. They were having maple syrup tours and a pancake brunch. The pancakes were super yummy complete with homemade MN maple syrup. We attempted to see the maple syrup process but Colin and Wyatt decided it was a lot more fun chasing each other along the arboretum trails. I guess Grandpa Lundgren will have to fill Colin and Justin in on the maple syrup process at a later time. :)


On Sunday we went to the Eagle's Nest with Matt, Deborah, Laura, Karl, Jennifer, Brian, and Damon. The kids had a blast chasing each other through the various tunnels, slides, and ball pits. The adults (and Justin) got to chat at a table and watch as the kids went mock ten and would occasionally make pit stops at the table for water breaks.
