Swimming Lessons

Today was also Colin's last day of swimming lessons. This was Colin's first experience with swimming lessons, and he did great. It was amazing at how much he learned this past month. He was such a good listener and was always eager to try whatever his teacher asked of him.

Parade

Friday evening we went to see a parade in the nearby town of St. Anthony. Our friends Mike and Karen joined us and were a big help in the get as much candy as you can for Colin contest. Thus far Colin has been good about sharing his candy though he keeps telling us we need to go to "this many more parades" as he holds up all ten fingers. :) This was Justin's first parade and he was lucky enough to see Ronald McDonald. "Old" McDonald's is a favorite at our house.

Clifford

Last weekend we went to the Children's Museum with our friends the Bjugstads to see the Clifford exhibit. Colin had lots of fun with his friend, Wyatt, and there were lots of great photo opportunities as you can see below. :)

8 Month Update

This past month Justin has really improved his crawling and is motoring all over the place with rug burn knees to prove it. :) He is also fine-tuning his small motor skills and is mastering the ability to pick up and transfer small objects from hand to hand thanks to lots of practice at supper time with those puffs. Unfortunately, separation/stranger anxiety is also starting. Mommy loves the extra affection and cuddles, but it makes it hard on the grandparents and others who wait patiently for Justin to warm up to them.

Gone Fishing

A couple weeks ago Colin had his first big fishing excursion. Colin caught 4 all by himself from the casting, to watching the bobber, setting the hook and reeling it in. On his third catch none us were even watching him as we were watching Uncle Mike bring a fish in and then Colin says "hey look at mine" and he had already reeled in the fish and had it out of the water. While Colin was pulling in fish Justin was just relaxing in the sun enjoying some puffs.

Crawling

With the coaching of big brother Colin, Justin has started to crawl.
