Adam's 4th Birthday Party!

Our sweet little Adam turned 4 last weekend!! The morning started with breakfast doughnuts and then outside to play with some presents. That afternoon we had a party at Pump it Up with 8 of his friends from daycare. We all had a blast! It was an awesome birthday!

Easter!

Easter--A time to celebrate Christ's resurrection and also a time of family, egg hunts, and Easter baskets. :) The yard was not too wet or muddy so we were able to have our egg hunt outside this year. The boys loved their baskets of goodies, and then it was off to church for the very yummy pancake brunch. My family came over in the afternoon for the Easter celebration, and we also got to celebrate Adam's 4th birthday.

 

Timberwolves 5K

Last Saturday we joined Crunch and the MN Timberwolves at Boom Island for a 5K and kids race. We had cool temperatures but with the sun out it was quite comfortable for running. The location was awesome with the 5K being a loop along the Mississippi River and amazing views of downtown Minneapolis. A flat course and low wind would have made for amazing times but the run ended up being 3.46 instead of 3.1 so our times were a bit off. The youngsters of Karl and Colin are growing up and are now running the 5K races with us. The Meissner crew joined us and Matt was amazing uncle and watched Justin and Adam while Jason, Deborah, Karl, Colin, and I ran the 5K. Colin still did the kids race and crushed it winning the race and Justin was also super amazing coming in 3rd! Adam was our super fast 3 year old and is a great addition to the running crew. It was a great Saturday morning!

Spring Break-AZ and the Grand Canyon

Grandpa and Grandma Elliott rented a house on the Colorado River in AZ for a month. We were able to go visit them for four days over Spring Break. We all had a great time! The weather was gorgeous and sunny! We loved the shaded deck with the amazing views of the river and foothills in the background. The boys had fun getting each other wet with water guns and hoses. We even found a nearby park that had access for swimming. The highlight of the vacation though, had to be our trip to see the Grand Canyon! It is so gorgeous! It was a full day of hiking and shuttle buses to various magnificent lookout spots. It was a fabulous trip! :)
