Triathalon

We had a fabulous time at our friends house this past weekend. Jeff and Minto live near Brainerd, MN and have adorable kids similar in age to our boys. We had so much fun boating, skiing, tubing, and playing in the lake! Colin improved on his skiing skills getting up on his own and on two separate skis. On Saturday afternoon, the four oldest kids completed their first mini triathlon! They were awesome! It was so cute and so impressive! The kids did a 25 yard swim, 2 mile bike ride, and 1 mile run. We are so proud of our kiddos!

St. Paul Saints Baseball Game

Friday night we headed to St. Paul to watch the Saints take on the Sioux City Canaries at the new CHS Field. It was an awesome game with lots of hits, amazing diving catches in the outfield, and the Saints won 5-3! The new field is gorgeous and still has the same family feel with lots of silly antics between innings. After the game they had quite the impressive fireworks display! Willow River Camping

This past weekend we went camping at Willow River State Park in Wisconsin. We had a great time! We went with some good friends and their kids--6 adults and 11 kids all under the age of 10! :) We had a blast together. Willow River is a beautiful site with lots of wooded easy trails for hiking. One of the highlights of the weekend was hiking to a gorgeous waterfall. The kids loved camping slumber party style with the boys and girls each having their own respective tents. It made for some late nights and early mornings but it was only for 3 days and the adults survived. :) One huge blessing is that there were very little bugs-no bug spray needed! It was so much fun we are already discussing options for next Summers camping adventure.
