Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day!! We continued our red theme supper doing a brinner meal this year. Wow, a few drops of red dye sure can turn any food pinky/red!! The white french toast, white scrambled eggs, and white hashbrown potatoes were delightfully red and perfect for Valentines Day fun. :)The boys loved substituting syrup with cool whip and strawberries and raspberries. Everything was topped with a healthy layer of red sprinkles. Target sweetheart cupcakes completed our festive meal and fruitpunch Gatorade was the beverage of choice.

 
  
 

Justin- Lil' Dribblers

Justin got to try out basketball for the first time this year playing with 1st and 2nd graders on Team Hawks. Jason coached the team and the boys had a fabulous season! Rims are lowered to 8 feet and there are a lots of whistles during games to stop and teach the kids basketball rules and skills. Justin is a natural athlete and used his speed for many break away shots and tough defense. We love basketball and it was the perfect way to spend our Saturday mornings.

New Years

It was another fabulous New Years holiday with the Meissners!! We started the fun with a game of bowling at Brunswick Zone. It was a blast and I have to admit that I had high score with a personal best of 135!! We headed back to our house after bowling and had a lazy evening of football, Family Feud, and puzzles before watching the watermelon drop at midnight. Cheers to an awesome 2016!

Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We spent Christmas Eve with Jason's family. Darin and Tamara hosted an Ugly Christmas Sweater theme and everyone had super creative ideas. We feasted on amazing food and had a wonderful evening together.











Christmas Day was just our cute family. A lazy day of opening presents and playing in our pjs.









The day after Christmas we had my family over to celebrate the holiday. Again, it was a lovely evening of food, fun, and family! Merry Christmas!!

Charlie Brown/ Breakfast with Santa

It was a super fun Christmas theme weekend! Friday night we headed to Stages theater to see the production of a "Charlie Brown Christmas." It was so cute! I LOVE the music from that play. The boys also really enjoyed the play and Stages did a fabulous job on the production!

 
 






On Sunday morning we got to have breakfast with Santa at Macy's in downtown Minneapolis on the 12th floor. It was such a fun morning. This is the first time we have done this, and we will definitely be doing it again. It was a gorgeous room with a super yummy breakfast buffet. The boys got their face painted with awesome Christmas designs. A balloon guy came to our table and made each of the boys reindeer antlers. And of course we got our pictures taken with Santa! After we finished breakfast, we went downstairs to the 8th floor to see the Macy's Christmas display. It was a delightful weekend!
