Happy New Year

The weekend started off with a fabulous New Year's Eve at Grand Rios Waterpark with the Meissners, and Jennifer, Brian, and Damon. Amazingly, the lines were short so we took full advantage of all the tube slides, lazy river, and hot tub.


For those that also follow the Meissner blog you will notice many of the same water park and New Year's celebration pictures. This was because they were our surrogate camera when ours was decommissioned after trying to get a close up of the boys getting dosed from the water bucket. Apparently I was not safe under the bridge for protection. Luckily the next day after the camera dried out it worked again but here is the great close up I got (too close).



We then took a short break to eat pizza and then it was time for more rides.


We had adjoining rooms so we put the kids in one room and the adults gathered in the other room to watch the ball drop. It was the perfect way to bring in the new year!



The next morning we headed to N. Dakota for part 2 of Christmas with the Elliott side of the family. With record low temperatures (-34!) it felt so nice to be cozy warm inside with family. Colin and Justin are spoiled little boys and received so many nice gifts. Colin opened the most presents, mainly because he assisted everyone on opening theirs. I guess they weren't opening fast enough. :) On Saturday we gathered with extended family to celebrate cousin Marni earning her Doctorate Degree as a Physician Assistant! We was a very fun and wonderful weekend!
