Happy 2nd Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Justin! Our little boy turned 2 today! The birthday weekend started out with a visit to the MN Zoo. It was a very chilly day so we spent the morning visiting the aquarium and Tropics Trail. The actual birthday landed on Viking football Sunday--very appropriate for this Vikings fan. Good thing he really doesn't understand what kind of season those Vikings are having this year. Big brother was a lot of help making the cake, opening gifts, and playing with those fun toys. We are looking forward to this year of those "terri..I mean adorable twos. :) Love you!

It's a......

BABY! 20 weeks along and doing great! Good job baby! 20 more weeks til we all get to find out if it's another fabulous boy or a precious little girl.

Happy Halloween

It was another fun and fabulous Halloween. The Meissners have the best neighborhood for trick o' treating and the boys ended up with way too much candy. :)

Fall Fun

Read 'N' Run

It was a beautiful Fall day for the run to support the St. Paul Library. With the timing falling close to Halloween the run encouraged costumes! We met our running buddies, the Meissner family, and the kids were all decked out with Colin as Spider man and Laura and Karl as Violet and Dash from the Incredibles. It was a tougher run for Colin as he started out super fast but in the end still had great effort and a strong finish. Deborah again set another incredibly fast personal record with Jason as pacemaker.

The Final Harvest

What a gorgeous weekend for the final Elliott harvest. Colin has been looking forward to this weekend for several weeks because Grandpa said he could help drive/ride "Frank" the combine. Lucky for Grandpa, Colin has given all the machinery nicknames with Frank coming from the combine in the movie "Cars." :)Grandpa had been working hard all week long and saved a special field just for Colin.

Before the harvest began, we headed out to the buildings to visit the tractors and get some quick photos while we waited for the dew to dry on the grass.


The boys had to warm up by riding the lawn tractor first.


Then we were off to the field for Franks final chapter in Elliott farming.


It was a great year both for the wheat and soybeans so it was the perfect final year and the start to a stress free retirement! Congratulations!

The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins

We got to see another delightful play at the Children's Theatre this past weekend. It was a Dr. Seuss production so lots of fun rhyming though I was expecting the costumes to be a bit more zany.
