Grandma Ruby's 90th Birthday Party

Last weekend we were back in North Dakota to celebrate Grandma Ruby's 90th birthday! She is doing great and is loved by so many people! Happy 90th, Grandma Ruby!

Children's Museum

This past Wednesday we had a play date with Justin's best friend, Nolan, at the Children's Museum. Dinosaurs is the current theme room going on and it was super cool. Volcanos, bone digging, and lots of dinosaur replicas filled the room. We love having Wednesdays off from work and daycare! :)

Mother's Day!

Happy Mothers Day! I am so blessed to have such awesome boys! I LOVE being their Mommy!

Grandma Ruby is celebrating her 90th birthday this weekend so we are headed back to North Dakota for the big celebration with family. It is going to be so much fun, but I honestly thought Mothers Day this year would be celebrated with the extended family as it fell on the party day. Well,....my hubby and boys thought it would be much better for me to have my own celebration with just them just a few days early. Jason surprised me with an amazing supper of ribeye steak, salad, focaccia bread, chicken/craisen salad, and espresso chocolate cake! It was so so YUMMY! I am so spoiled to have such an awesome husband and loving boys. The boys made me so many adorable gifts with my favorite being the homemade necklaces which I will proudly wear this entire weekend. :)

Easter!

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! We had a fabulous Easter with gorgeous weather, yummy food, and fun with family. The Easter season started with some egg decorating. It was a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle and glitter theme for the eggs this year. Easter morning the boys awoke to find their baskets and immediately began devouring the candy. Then it was off to find more candy in eggs hidden in the basement. After church we hosted the Easter meal. The electricity went out but thankfully came back on after an hour and enough time to cook the ham.:)It was a gorgeous day of sun and 70 degree temps. We had another egg hunt and stayed outdoors soaking up the sun. The kids got a bit muddy, but it felt great to be outside. We also got to celebrate Adam and Luke's birthdays. Adam got lots of his favorite Mickey theme favorites. Happy Easter everyone!

Our baby is 3!

Adam turned 3 this past Friday! Happy birthday to our brave, adorable, athletic, sweet, silly, strong-willed, littlest brother! The birthday boy picked out some yummy donuts to start his day. After a fun filled with friends at daycare we came home for a McDonalds supper. The night finished with cake and presents. We love you to the moon and back, Adam!

 

Springbreak 2014: Chicago/Dells

This year for our spring break we went on a road trip to Chicago and hit the Great Wolf Lodge water park in Wisconsin Dells on the way home. We had a super fun trip and the boys were just fabulous travelers. (It does help to have tablet, movies, and iphone as travel entertainment. Back in my day... :))

We stopped in Madison on the way out to visit with some college friends. It was great to catch up and really helped divide the trip up nicely so we didn't have to drive 7 straight hours.

Once we got to Chicago we got to meet up with more friends and see their newest addition, Grace. We got lots of snuggles and ate really well. We were there over St. Patrick's day and ate at an Irish Pub and later dined on classic deep dish Chicago pizza.

Chicago highlights included Willis Tower, Adler Planetarium, and Field Museum. The views from Willis Tower were incredible. The boys especially enjoyed standing out on the glass ledge that allowed us to be 103 stories above ground while viewing the city streets with tiny people below.









 The planetarium had amazing space exhibits. We all loved learning about the solar system in the awesome domed theater show.

 








 The Field Museum was a beautifully historic place filled with Dinosaurs!

 







The highlight of the trip had to be Great Wolf Lodge. The boys love water parks and Wisconsin Dells really is the mecca of water parks. It was AWESOME! They had so much fun. The water and room temperature were super warm, short lines, and the rides were so fun. We will definitely be going back.
